As an alumna of BS Information Technology of the College of Computer Studies, I could say that LPU Batangas has not only molded my specialized skills but has built my confidence to prepare me for my career. During my college years, I was given the privilege to attend different school activities in and outside the country and these experiences have exposed me to greater knowledge and made me so inspired to pursue more in the Information Technology (IT) industry. LPU Batangas has been my school of choice for my college education and it has given me more than I could ask for to help me be to become a successful IT Practitioner. #ButiNaLangNagLyceumAko

Arian Mae Lontoc, BSIT 2015

Somebody once asked me if I would still choose to study in LPU-B if my circumstances were different back then and I consistently answered YES. Lyceum of the Philippines University Batangas equipped me with the right tools and knowledge and since I didn’t get influenced by the notion of graduating in a well-known university that sometimes make fresh graduates a bit arrogant and overly complacent, I have the right attitude that helped me get where I am today. I am thankful and grateful to my Alma Mater along with all my teachers and professors who helped build that strong foundation of knowledge. Finally, I will always be proud to say “buti na lang nag Lyceum ako”.

On my first step at the front gate of this prestigious university, I wondered how my life would run knowing that I will encounter a diverse group of students who are good at almost everything. I asked myself, “Can I stand out in this crowd? Am I really capable to take the lead?” But there’s no turning back, I need to take this path. I was a Senior High student back then. I became a lot of things during my SHS years. I became a student-leader-performer. My leadership ability was tested and enhanced for I was given a chance to lead the Senior High Department as their Student Council President. Moreover, it did not stop there because I was also able to improve my skills in performing arts through acting and writing scripts and monologues as an active member of LPU-Stagers. Most especially, this university’s fire of fortitude enlightened me to see my worth not just a student but as a competitive young professional in my chosen field of specialization. And now, I still chose to take the lead as I am taking up Bachelor of Science in International Travel and Tourism Management which allows me to participate in community extension activities as a passionate leader and compete in various contests, representing both my college and LPU Batangas. I know that here in LPU, I won’t just be academically inclined, but I will also be morally and professionally upright.

Brent Roi N. Gutierrez, 1st Year BSITTM

t has been 6 months since I first wore my nursing uniform as an official Lycean. At first, I had second thoughts on whether I am really for the Nursing course and future profession. I had a lot of breakdowns and I was drowning in self-doubt. And as the days progressed, I realized how hard it was to be a nursing student. One must really balance his/her priorities well in order to succeed in this field. But somehow, as the months passed, I started to love the challenges that I am experiencing in this course. This was made possible because I had a great set of friends that really inspired me to do well. Luckily, they were not just my friends, they were my family already. Thus, despite all the breakdowns I’ve experienced, I managed to turn my “can’ts” into “cans” and finally had my breakthrough in LPU-Batangas.

We know that we had made the right decision when we chose LPU. Our children were given the opportunity to showcase their talents, improve their skills, and enhance their knowledge. They were given a chance to go places, meet different nationalities with unique cultures, and experience many things. A huge thanks to Ms. Jamie Lee F. Mendoza, Dr. Vivian A. Perez, the teachers, and to the whole LPU family, too many to mention, for the opportunity for Kielle to showcase his intelligence.

Lycean Parent Testimonial- Apolonia Tria

LPU-B values all their students from their first day until they progress in their chosen careers. My professors were always with me every step of the way, even up to this day. They helped me with my papers when I was applying for a nursing position overseas. They were there when I needed help with my academic documents. And yet again, a few months ago, they were there to help me with my PhD application. LPU-B doesn’t just tell you to Take the lead, it gears you towards perfection by instilling the necessary values, knowledge, and skill set to succeed, support you wherever you go. LPU-B taught me to lead and dream big, hang on to that dream, and do everything to reach it. For that alone, I am very grateful.

LPU has constantly been providing a safe and comfortable environment to help our children learn and develop their full potential. LPU’s curriculum encourages independent as well as team learning experiences, allowing the children to hone skills that are critical in further education and preparation for their work environment. Beyond the core education that our children receive, so important to their experience is the environment where these are achieved. Classes are small and the education is personal. The teachers know their students and can tailor their efforts to individual student needs.

Lycean Parent Testimonial- Malou Alamag Perculeza

I have been studying at the Lyceum International Maritime Academy and since my freshman year, I have been doing the early commute from Lemery to Batangas and then back again to Lemery. But that did not hinder my drive to hopefully finish my Maritime course because it is my dream to become a seaman so that I could help my parents. On my first semester, I was quite nervous because I know that high school is far easier than college. Now I am on my 3rd year and looking forward to my shipboard training, eager to apply the things that I learned from my instructors. I am still nervous, but I know with God’s grace and the learning I had in LPU I could manage the rough seas to attain my dream.

Jake Lloyd S. Legaspi, 3rd Year BS Marine Transportation

This is to share my wonderful experience during my stay in Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas (LPU-B). Firstly, siguro yung impression sa the school we all know that LPU-B is one of the most prestigious universities in our country, and the fact that I was able to enter this institution is a big accomplishment itself. The only LPU Campus that offers Bachelor of Science in Criminology and the Number 1 provider of Law Enforcement Officers in the Region. Since then, I wanted to be in the Police service, and I knew that LPU-B will provide me the best education that will guide me in my chosen path. So, I enrolled under BS CRIMINOLOGY program and made my dreams come true. I still remember the first day I got to speak with the Dean, she said to me “gagalingan mo, and welcome to the family”, which has been engraved to my heart that this family will give me a lot of memories. Then this happened, I applied and trained to be an ROTC Officer of the 303rd NROTC Unit of the school, and after rigorous training, I became part of the Corps Intelligence, N2, but due to some circumstances the ROTC program was discontinued, nawala yung scholarship na inaasahan ko para magpatuloy sa pagpasok sa school na pinangarap ko, kasabay pa ng biglaan financial shortage sa family. I only had a few options. One was to stop cut my studies short or transfer to another school. Of course, both choices were not nice. There was a saying that “kapag gusto may paraan, pag ayaw may dahilan”.  Being persevering I inquired for part-time jobs, available scholarship. Lahat ata nang madinig ko na puede ang scholar na-examan ko na. Then the college secretary told me that they were looking for a Student Assistant. Then the rest was history.
