The Bachelor of Arts in Communication program aims to produce graduates who have mastery of a range of communication industry skills, supported by extensive, contextual studies in communication/media theory, and professional skills in preferred areas of journalism, broadcast, advertising, public relations, media production (radio, television, and film), organization and business communication, creative and the performing arts. It also seeks to develop critical, articulate students by offering a wide range of subjects that meet the industry demand and increase the employability of graduates.

LEVEL OUTCOMES

Graduates of Bachelor of Arts in Communication program shall have:

  • Applied acquired knowledge and developed relevant skills expected of Liberal Arts professionals in the field of Communication.
  • Become liberal and creative thinking individuals who contribute to the development in their chosen field in local, national, and global work.
  • Participated in the conduct of relevant researches and or special projects in Communication.
  • Actualized the knowledge acquired into social responsibility through community involvement.

At the end of the program, the students shall have the ability to:

  • Communicate effectively through various media forms and situations.
  • Design, produce, and evaluate print, broadcast, audio-visual, electronic and multimedia outputs.
  • Engage in research and/or special projects and utilize results for professional and socio-economic development.
  • Manifest preparedness and competence for local and global employment.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and practices.
