LEVEL OUTCOMES

Graduates of the BSBA FMA Program are expected to attain the following objectives 3 to 5 years after graduation: 

  • Have acquired professional required in local and offshore training and development as staff in accounting, auditing, and tax-related works both in the local and international industry, developing an attitude of learning and maintaining their acquired competence. 
  • Have engaged in the practice of financial and management accounting, able to represent the various stakeholders, e.g., regulatory bodies, potential investors, creditors, management, and employees, in support of making strategic and operating decisions. 
  • Have conducted himself in a respectable manner with appropriate knowledge, values, and attitudes. 
  • Have participated in community service towards the improvement and development of society. 

A graduate of BSBA Major in Financial and Management Accounting should be able to:

  • Discuss the latest developments in the specific field of practice.
  • Effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
  • Act in recognition of professional, social, and ethical responsibility.
  • Promote “Filipino historical and cultural heritage”.
  • Describe the basic concepts that underlie each of the following (finance, production, and operations management, information technology, and strategic management) areas of business and employ these concepts in various business situations.
  • Identify the proper decision-making tools to solve problems and drive results critically, analytically, and creatively.
  • Implement business decisions in view of social responsibility, personal, moral, and ethical standards.
  • Apply knowledge and skills to successfully respond to various types of assessments
  • Conduct financial and management accounting research through independent studies of relevant literature and appropriate use of accounting theory and methodologies.
  • Employ technology as a business tool in capturing financial and non-financial information, generating reports, and making decisions.
  • Resolve business issues and problems with a global and strategic perspective using knowledge and technical proficiency in the areas of financial accounting and reporting, cost accounting and management accounting and control, internal and operational audit, taxation, and accounting information systems.
  • Participate in community extension programs.
