Master in International Hospitality and Tourism Management started in Academic Year 2010-2011. The program was the Asia Pacific’s First Post Graduate International Centre of Excellence 5 stars Accredited by the Asia Pacific Institute for Events Management. This provides the students with the requisites and professional expertise to progress in their careers whether as academicians and researchers in a specialized field or as senior manager in hospitality and tourism enterprise. Some of the courses include Quality Management System, Legal and Current Issues, Global Marketing Strategy, and Managing a Diverse Culture in Hospitality and Tourism.

Graduates of the MIHTM program are expected to attain the following objectives 3-5 years after graduation: 

  • Assume a position in the academe, hospitality, and tourism industries locally and internationally applying professional competence and advanced understanding of key management principles and ethical standards.
  • Participate in relevant researches contributory to community development and improvement of the hospitality and tourism industry.
  • Establish a viable business related to the hospitality and tourism industry

Student outcomes are the sets of competencies (related knowledge, skills, and attitudes) that all learners are expected to demonstrate upon graduation. 

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of fundamental concepts and theories in hospitality and tourism management.
  • Observe policies, Tourism laws, and commit to professional ethics and norms of the Hospitality industry.
  • Manifest professionalism and good leadership in performing duties and responsibilities to function effectively in a diverse organizational environment
  • Produce relevant research and generate an evidence-based solution for the emerging current issues in the tourism and hospitality sector.
  • Develop a sustainable project proposal for social entrepreneurship.
  • Utilized emerging technology trends and Apply appropriate tools in analyzing problems required for solving complex hospitality and tourism business situations and make a critical argument and evaluation of potential solutions
  • Develop a marketing plan for a hospitality and tourism enterprise
  • Develop hospitality and tourism plans with economic and environmental impact in local communities
  • Exemplify a global perspective and recognize facets of the international hospitality and tourism business and cross-cultural understanding
