It was not an easy journey, but as it turned out, my college years in LPU was one of the greatest chapters of my life. I was not what you would call a model student, but I enjoyed every moment of it. We had many great quality professors, ranging from practicing doctors of medicine to professors with lengthy experience on their resumes. There was a balance between academics, sports, and cultural activities that I got to participate in. The last year of college, which was a 12-month internship from three different hospitals was the most challenging and rewarding experience. This was the peak of our learning curve. This is where we put the theories we learned from school into practice. I am so lucky to have rotation duty in some of the best hospital affiliations: Batangas Regional Hospital (now BatMC), Philippine Air Force Hospital in Pasay, and the National Orthopedic Hospital (now Philippine Orthopedic Center). It was then that I realized the importance of Medical Technology which I chose to pursue and felt pride and honor knowing that my future job plays a very important role in a patient’s treatment.
