PLT Liezel Pagcaliwagan- Hernandez
BS Criminology, 2007
Entering college is quite difficult for me when I was about to take my course at the Lyceum of Batangas, now Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas. Thinking of the high tuition fees of being a nursing student, I opted to take BS Criminology instead though it was not my cup of tea. With my determination and dedication to fulfill my studies, I became part of the Dean’s List then. This inspired me to achieve more and be motivated. After I graduated, I luckily passed the board examination and was given a chance to work at my alma mater, to teach Criminology students. Feeling grateful for working with my best instructors gave me the opportunity to do things that were beyond my expectations.
It is indeed my passion to serve the public as I entered successfully into the PNP Organization in 2008. The opportunities I got during college molded me to become an encouraging Police Officer. There were many trials that I have been encountered and I felt so fortunate to have the best and knowledgeable college instructors who gave me a strong foundation for my profession.
I have been working in the PNP for almost 12 years, and recently I was newly appointed as Police Lieutenant through Lateral Entry, with the training I learned and with the education that the Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas provided I know that I am confident enough to work with and for the community.
I am leading a happy life and have entered successfully into a career that has continuously fueled my passion to serve the public. Thank you to the College of Criminal Justice for honing successful Criminologists and for making me one of them. #ButiNaLangNagLyceumAko
