LPU Faculty Researcher bags first prize in Oral Presentation in Taiwan
Engr. Evelyn L. De Castro, faculty researcher of the College of Engineering bagged first prize in the Oral Presentation of the design project entitled, “MCU Based Protection Suit for Human Fall Detection with GPS Locator” at the 2018 International Symposium on Novel and Sustainable Technology (2018 ISNST) at the Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST), Tainan City, Taiwan, October 4-5, 2018.
This project was written by BS Computer Engineering students namely Joy Melein J. Arellano, et. al. Engr. De Castro served as the adviser of the group. In addition, Mr. Gervin John T. Argente, BSCpE graduate presented his co-authored design project entitled “Aerial Human Detection using Image Processing for Search and Rescue” in the same symposium.
