Emphasizing the role of higher education in workforce development, Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas (LPU-B) entered into a strategic partnership with Unilab Education (UniEd) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on January 6, 2026, at the Unilab Information Technology Office in Mandaluyong City.

The MOU was led by UniEd President Atty. Jose Marie A. Ochave and LPU-B President Dr. Peter P. Laurel, signifying a shared intent to collaborate in advancing academic excellence through industry engagement. The signing ceremony was witnessed by key university and corporate officials, including Mr. Frederick C. Badillo, Senior Vice President and Vice President for Finance; Mr. Paolo S. Laurel, Vice President for Institutional Affairs; Dr. Cecilia C. Pring, Vice President for Academics and Research; and Dr. Conrado I. Dotong, Assistant Vice President for Student Services.

The partnership outlined in the MOU aims to integrate real-world industry exposure into the university’s academic framework through structured internships, technological integration, and applied learning opportunities. These initiatives are designed to bridge theoretical instruction and practical application, enabling students to develop competencies aligned with current industry standards.
