Demonstrating world-class talent and culinary excellence, the Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas (LPU-B) proudly brought home two Bronze Medals from the Food and Hotel Asia (FHA) Culinary Challenge 2025, held from April 8 to 11 at the Singapore Expo, Singapore.


The FHA Culinary Challenge is a highly regarded international competition endorsed by the World Association of Chefs Societies (WorldChefs). It provides a global platform for chefs to showcase their expertise, innovation, and technical mastery in a variety of cooking disciplines.
Chef Jovic Ramirez made her mark by earning a Bronze Medal in the Practical Hot Cooking Class 2 – Main Course Meat/Poultry/Game. In addition to this win, she also received a Diploma in Culinary Art Display Class 1 – Modern Lunch, further showcasing her creativity and versatility in culinary presentation and menu development.
In the Practical Hot Cooking Class 6 – Apprentice Team Challenge, Samantha Pitallo and Jansen Frey Dolor also garnered a Bronze Award, proving their strength in teamwork, innovation, and culinary finesse.
The team was led by Chef Richard Ramirez and Chef Jovic Ramirez, with Chef Aries Cueto serving as the coaches’ assistant. Supporting the team were assistants Kyle Cyril Aspecto, Frederick Roque, and Czarina Joy Reanzares.
At the helm of the delegation was Dr. Kristine M. Manlapaz, the team manager who ensured the team’s seamless participation in this international competition.
These achievements mark another proud moment for LPU-B, strengthening its reputation as a leading institution in hospitality and culinary education in the Philippines.
