In compliance with Memorandum from the Office of the Executive Director (MOED) No. 068, Series of 2026, Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas (LPU-B) underwent a comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation visit on February 27, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence and regulatory compliance.
The initiative, conducted to ensure the continued integrity and quality of the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) across deputized Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), was led by the Regional Quality Assurance Team (RQAT) and Education Supervisors from the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office (CHEDRO) IV-A.
The CHEDRO IV-A delegation included Dr. Judith Chan, Chief Supervising Education Program Specialist, and Dr. Christy Niem, Education Supervisor II, together with RQAT members Dr. Mary Nellie Roa, Dr. Amado Magsino, Dr. Rogelio Llave, Dr. Alrien Dausan, and Dr. Rodrigo Belleza.
The visiting team thoroughly reviewed LPU-B’s implementation of the ETEEAP, assessing program delivery, documentation, student evaluation processes, and institutional compliance with national standards. The evaluation forms part of CHED’s ongoing efforts to ensure that alternative education pathways remain credible, rigorous, and responsive to the needs of Filipino professionals seeking academic advancement through recognition of prior learning and work experience.
Present on behalf of the university were Mr. Frederick Badillo, Senior Vice President; Dr. Cecilia C. Pring, Vice President for Academics and Research; Dr. Abigail I. Manzano, ETEEAP and Scholarship Director; Dr. Conrado Dotong, Assistant Vice President for Student Services; and Dr. Carina Magtibay, Executive Director for Academics and Research.
Also present were the program deans, Dr. Jiexel Manongsong, Dr. Bella Magnaye, Dr. Ryan Mejia, Dr. Arnie Villena, and Dr. Merwinalou Bautista, who collectively demonstrated the institution’s strong academic leadership and collaborative commitment to quality assurance.
The successful monitoring visit affirms LPU-B’s commitment to upholding high standards in the delivery of ETEEAP. Through sustained quality assurance and compliance with CHED directives, the university continues to provide accessible and credible higher education pathways for working professionals.
