Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas (LPU-B) continues to expand its global reach in education, recently formalizing a significant partnership with the Asia International Center for Health Training and Development (AICTHD) based in Saudi Arabia. The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was officially signed in a virtual ceremony on June 30, 2025, marking a new chapter for LPU-B’s Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) delivery to Filipino professionals in Saudi Arabia.
Present in the virtual MOA signing activity were AICTHD key officials, namely President Mr. Rey Bantolino, Vice President Ms. Marivic Taup, and Head of Instruction Mr. Reymart F. Hacosta. LPU-B was represented by Senior Vice President and VP for Finance Mr. Frederick Badillo, VP for Academics and Research Dr. Cecille Pring, AVP for Academics and Research Dr. Conrado Dotong, and ETEEAP Director Dr. Abby Manzano.
This strategic collaboration aims to provide a flexible and accessible pathway for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and other professionals in Saudi Arabia to earn their academic degrees. Through the ETEEAP, individuals can leverage their extensive work experience and prior learning to gain academic credits, ultimately leading to a recognized bachelor’s degree from LPU-B.
The virtual MOA signing underscores LPU-B’s commitment to innovative educational delivery and its dedication to empowering Filipinos abroad. By partnering with AICTHD, a reputable training and development center in Saudi Arabia, LPU-B is poised to offer quality education that aligns with the professional competencies and career aspirations of individuals in the Middle East.
This initiative is expected to greatly benefit Filipino healthcare professionals and other workers in Saudi Arabia who seek to enhance their credentials and career prospects without having to put their careers on hold or return to the Philippines. The ETEEAP program, with its competency-based assessment, offers a practical solution for lifelong learners to formalize their valuable on-the-job knowledge and skills.
The partnership with AICTHD highlights LPU-B’s growing network of international collaborations, reinforcing its vision to be a leading institution that provides globally competitive education and contributes to the professional advancement of individuals worldwide. This virtual signing ceremony serves as a testament to the power of technology in bridging geographical distances and fostering educational opportunities across borders.
