The colloquium began with a statement of purpose from Dr. Annalie D. Pateña, Officer-in-Charge of the Center for Research and Innovation (CRIN), who set the tone for the day’s discussions, emphasizing the need for resilient and sustainable research initiatives within higher education institutions.

A major highlight of the event was the keynote address by Dr. Maria Ana T. She also emphasized the role of research in institutional assessment frameworks, including accreditations, QS Rankings, and Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings. She concluded by outlining the three pillars of a sustainable research culture: individual, institutional, and leadership factors.

Capping off the colloquium was the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PAPSCU, reinforcing the commitment of participating institutions to advancing research excellence through meaningful public-private collaboration.
