Every conversation about mental health is a step toward healing, and Lyceum of the Philippines University–Batangas (LPU-B) is helping create those spaces where care and understanding begin.

In collaboration with the ABS-CBN Foundation, Bantay Bata 163, and Project Mind, LPU-B brought Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS) training to Lobo Senior High School on May 6, 2024. Supported by Argao Psych and the Department of Education (DepEd), the initiative aimed to prepare volunteers to better support the emotional well-being of students.

Throughout the program, participants explored ways to recognize signs of distress, respond with empathy, and build a culture of openness within the school community. The sessions encouraged dialogue, reflection, and teamwork, transforming awareness into action.

This collaboration reflects LPU-B’s ongoing commitment to community development and holistic education. By equipping volunteers with both skill and compassion, the university reinforces a vital truth: mental health is everyone’s concern, and support begins when someone chooses to listen.
