Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas (LPU-B), through its Counseling and Testing Center (CATC), has entered into a new partnership with the Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association (PGCA) Batangas Chapter to strengthen mental health services within the Lycean community and beyond.

The formal signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) brought together leaders committed to advancing professional collaboration in mental health. Present at the formality were Dr. Maria Rochelle R. Sasuya, RGC, President of PGCA Batangas; Mrs. Esperanza C. Llanes, Assistant Treasurer and Partnership Committee Member of PGCA Batangas; and Dr. Merlinda F. Pesigan, Director of CATC.

This partnership opens doors to programs and initiatives that draw from the expertise and shared resources of both institutions. By working together, CATC and PGCA-Batangas aim to build stronger support systems for learners, educators, and stakeholders—ensuring that guidance and counseling become integral to student growth, professional preparation, and community well-being.

The collaboration stands as a step forward in addressing the evolving needs of education while emphasizing the importance of mental health as a foundation for success.
