LPU-B Receives Recognition as First IiP-Silver Accredited University in Asia
Lyceum of the Philippines University – Batangas is the FIRST IIP – SILVER ACCREDITED UNIVERSITY IN ASIA. LPU officials received the IiP silver recognition in an awarding ceremony held at the Henry Sy, Sr. Auditorium of the St. Lukes Medical Center, Global City Taguig on April 28, 2014. Dr. Peter P. Laurel (University President) led the LPU team in accepting LPU-Batangas’ silver IiP award.
The program was also a venue for exchange of international good practices in people management. Some of the speakers were Dr. Edgardo R. Cortez, M.D (CEO & President of St. Luke’s Medical Center), Ms. Patricia Whyte (President, Q2 HR Solutions, Inc.), Mr. Paul Devoy (Head, IiP United Kingdom Commission for Employment and Skills), Mr. David W. Burgess (GEC & Shared Services Director, Hyder Consulting Middle East Ltd.), Mr. Nicholas Thomas (Country Director, The British Council, Manila) and Dr. Peter P. Laurel (LPU President).
Other companies who were also awarded include Hyder Consulting Excellence Center Standard, Stolt Tankers BV & Stolt Nielsen Phils. Inc. (Bronze) and Lyceum of the Philippines Laguna (Silver).
LPU – Batangas was accredited for IiP – Silver last February 10-12, 2014.
