The Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Management is a program with specializations intended to provide graduate students in the region and the whole country in general with professional competencies needed in education and the application of theories and principles in educational leadership. The focus of instruction and training is to enable students who think of innovations and critically decide on issues that may be able to cope positively and effectively with the trends, management challenges in organization development, change and transformation in education and who become active participants in community development.

Three (3) to five (5) years after graduation, alumni of Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Management shall:
- be competent professionals as teachers in high school or faculty members in college.
- be innovative researchers who are actively engaged in research that contribute to the development of the teaching profession at the national and international level.
- have performed best practices in various available alternative delivery of classroom instruction through the use of modern technology.
- be actively engaged in community development.
By the time of graduation, Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Management students shall have the ability to:
- compare, contrast and critically reflect upon a range of educational theories, learning theories and a range of pedagogical models and apply them in a work context, specifically a classroom and school context.
- demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of knowledge and a critical awareness of current and emergent issues within the area of education, classroom practice and wider professional development at local, national and international levels.
- demonstrate an understanding of the ways in which the individual teacher is influenced by current and emergent international agenda and the ways in which these then affect the view of learning and the learner.
- Make personal and reasoned judgments based upon an informed understanding of key areas of interest within the area of education and teacher’s professional development.
- demonstrate understanding of professional, ethical, legal, security and social issues and responsibilities as a professional leader.
