The Master in Maritime Education and Training is intended to respond to the needs of maritime higher education institutions in the advancement of maritime education through the specialized development of the professional faculty and academic personnel of maritime schools. It is designed to cater graduates of the Maritime Program to become more proficient professional educators which specifically covers the areas of specializations in maritime education and training with a deeper understanding of the subject matters.

The complete program curriculum for Master in Maritime Education and Training
Three (3) to five (5) years after graduation, alumni of Master in Maritime Education and Training shall:
- become maritime professionals, educators, practitioners who possess a wider knowledge of maritime education and industry.
- become responsible maritime officers and leaders.
- have gained advanced knowledge in research development that can contribute to the enhancement of the maritime profession and the industry.
- have shared their expertise in the maritime community.
By the time of graduation, Master in Maritime Education and Training students shall have the ability to:
- adhere to the international maritime standards;
- develop course syllabus adaptable to the modern trend in maritime education;
- maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date recording and reporting system in accordance with the global needs;
- establish a collaborative relationship with colleagues and other members of the team to enhance maritime education and systems;
- communicate effectively both in oral and written forms;
- conduct training to maritime professionals, shipping executives, and maritime students;
- demonstrate self-confidence, sense of problem-driven thinking and problem-solving actions, integrity, and honesty;
- apply the principles of crowd and crisis management; and
- develop social responsibility in the professional context (environmental awareness, safety on board and in port).
