The PhD in Management Specialized in Education program is designed for education professionals to have the opportunity to engage in systematic, critical, and analytic inquiry into the theory and practice of educational leadership and management across the whole range of educational institutions and related organizations. It intends to complement the existing knowledge, skills, competencies, and attitude with up-to-date theories, concepts, and competencies in the various areas of educational management and leadership through the adoption of innovative and technology–enabled teaching–learning strategies, independent study, and lifelong learning experiences.

THREE (3) TO FIVE (5) YEARS AFTER GRADUATION, ALUMNI OF PHD IN MANAGEMENT SPECIALIZED IN EDUCATION SHALL:

  • Become competent school executives serving local, national, and global communities.
  • Contribute to the development of educational management through research and innovation.
  • Be committed as lifelong learners who possess the moral, social, cultural, ethical principles and values.

BY THE TIME OF GRADUATION, PHD IN MANAGEMENT SPECIALIZED IN EDUCATION STUDENTS SHALL HAVE THE ABILITY TO:

  • Demonstrate a strong theoretical understanding and practical knowledge of concepts, approaches, and trends in leading and managing educational institutions.
  • Develop strategic, transformational, and entrepreneurial mindset in actual work and practice of school administration.
  • Design strategies that are responsive to the needs of 21st century schools.
  • Utilize technology to enhance school management and operations.
  • Engage in advanced scholarly study and research on educational leadership and management to contribute to theory building, framework, and policy development.
  • Practice ethical behavior for organizational effectiveness and sustainability.
