“Pailaw sa Talisay”, Kicks Off Christmas in LPU Batangas

For the first time in 49 years the Talisay Drive lights up in revelry as the annual LPU Batangas’s Advent Wreath and Christmas tree lighting ceremony was held December 4, 2015. Coined as “Paaliw sa Talisay” instead of the usual pine tree the Christmas lights were placed in the very same Talisay trees that our Founder, Sen. Sotero H. Laurel planted during the early years of LPU Batangas.

The programs consisted of the Advent candle lighting followed by the reflections of representatives from the students, and Faculty/Admin on the gospel. Christmas carols were sung by the LPU Vocal Harmonics. The event was attended by officers, Admin. Personnel, faculty members, students and the Lyceum Supreme Student Council who collaborated with the LPU Management for the “Pailaw sa Talisay”.
