Founder’s Lecture 2016
Today’s Founder’s Lecture in honor of the late Sen. Sotero H. Laurel (SHL) on the occasion of the 50th founding anniversary of LPU Batangas was held at the Freedom Hall with the theme, “Sotero H. Laurel Perspectives on Internationalization”.
Dr. Yolinda Gonda Balmes, Trustee of LPU Batangas and Pro Deo et Patria Awardee shared SHL’s Legacy to the world: as an educator, family man and philosopher. The keynote speech was delivered by Mr. Manuel L. Quezon III-writer, historian and former Undersecretary of the Presidential Communications Development & Strategic Planning Office under the presidency of Benigno S. Aquino III. Quezon discussed about SHL’s Perspectives on the Internationalization of Education. Also invited to lecture on the historical impact of the life and political wisdom of SHL was Prof. Michael Charlston B. Chua, historian and Assistant Professorial Lecturer from De La Salle University, Manila.
