LPU Batangas Hosts CHED-AIMS Seminar-Workshop

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in partnership with the Lyceum of the Philippines University- Batangas conducted the Annual Seminar-Workshop for ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS) International Relations Officers (IRO) at the  LIMA Campus, October 4-6, 2017.

Atty. Lily Freida M. Milla, Director III of CHED International Affairs discussed the Internationalization of Philippine Higher Education which is part of the National Development Goals. On the other hand, Mr. Napoleon B. Imperial, Deputy Executive Director and the Chairman of the AIMS Technical Working Group shares to the participants the feedback of the AIMS Review Meeting that was held in Japan and Malaysia for the last 2 years.

Workshops were facilitated by Dr. Laurene Chua- Garcia, Vice President for External Relations & Internationalization of De La Salle University on “Enhancing inbound and outbound Mobility” and Dr. Rhodora Azanza, Professor Emeritus of the University of the Philippines on the Development of an IRO Office.

AIMS Philippines has 12 member universities namely, Lyceum of the Philippines University- Batangas, Ateneo De Manila University, De La Salle University, University of the Philippines, University of Santo Tomas, Central Luzon State University, Central Bicol State University of Agriculture, University of St. La Salle- Bacolod, St. Paul University Philippines, Central Mindanao University, University of Mindanao and Saint Louis University.

The participants had a team-building culminating activity at the Kota Keluarga resort in San Juan facilitated by some members of the LPU Brand Ambassadors.

The next seminar-workshop will be hosted by the Central Mindanao University in Bukidnon.
