LPU Team Joins Red Alert Emergency Expo 2018

ABS-CBN’s Red Alert conducted an emergency expo at Laresio Lakeside Resort and Spa in Los Baños, Laguna, June 22, 2018. The LPU Batangas team joined other participants from University of Batangas, STI Calamba, and Los Baños Senior High School. Dubbed as The Red Alert Emergency Expo 2018, the said event was hosted by ABS CBN TV personalities Jeff Canoy and Gretchen Ho, Dr. Ted Esguerra- rescue doctor and Prof. Mahar Lagmay- Executive Director of Project NOAH. They were joined by other guests namely Rex Intal of the Ateneo Blue Eagles and Dawn Chang former Pinoy Big Brother contestant. The first lecture was the fire safety drill that was taught by the BFP-Los Baños using the fire extinguisher and the bucket relay technique. The second lecture was the basic life support and rescue response which was taught by Dr. Ted Esguerra and his team. The last drill was the self-defense tips for women and commuters demonstrated by the International Krav Maga Federation-Philippines. After the lectures, the Red Alert team was divided into 4 teams for the Survival. The Los Baños Senior High School was hailed as the overall champion with their leader and host of the Red Alert Mr. Jeff Canoy. The LPU Team lead by Dr. Conrad Dotong together with  Mrs. Escolastica Boniel was composed of selected members of the LPU Emergency and Rescue Team and Lycean student leaders. #TakeTheLead #RedAlertExpo2018 #LPUBatangas
