Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas (LPU-B) continues to advance innovation-driven education with the acquisition of MahusayBot, an AI-powered, bionic-designed service robot aimed at enriching the learning experience of Lyceans, particularly those in tourism and hospitality programs.

Designed for modern restaurants and hotels, MahusayBot is an advanced service robot capable of contactless food and beverage delivery, promotional engagement, and guest interaction. Equipped with multi-modal communication, intelligent navigation, and 3D obstacle-avoidance technology, the robot simulates real-world hospitality operations while promoting efficiency, safety, and enhanced customer experience. With its approachable, cat-inspired design, MahusayBot also fosters interactive and engaging learning environments.

The name “Mahusay” embodies the core values of the College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (CITHM) credo—Motivated, Adaptable, Hard-working, Upright, Skilled, Assertive, and Yes-Minded—reflecting the character and competencies LPU-B aims to instill in its students.

Capable of functioning both as a receptionist and a service staff, MahusayBot will serve as a practical instructional tool, allowing students to engage with emerging technologies used in global hospitality and tourism industries. Through hands-on exposure, Lyceans are better prepared to meet the evolving demands of a technology-driven service sector.
