The Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas (LPU-B) has officially partnered with the Philippine Movement for Climate Justice (PMCJ) to strengthen research on climate-related health impacts and raise public awareness on environmental issues. The collaboration involves the College of Nursing, focusing on research initiatives, and the Community Extension Office, which will lead grassroots advocacy efforts.

PMCJ representatives working with LPU-B include Mr. Ian Rivera (National Coordinator), Dr. Benito Molino, MD (Health Impact Consultant), Mr. Larry Pascua (Senior Energy Program Officer), Mr. Christian John Argallon (Communications and Media Officer), along with Batangas Team members Mr. Nico Camongol and Ms. Myrna Almendral Herisano.
The initiative aims to address climate change’s effects on public health, such as respiratory diseases and heat-related illnesses, while also promoting sustainable practices in local communities. Through joint research, educational campaigns, and community programs, LPU-B reaffirms its commitment to sustainability, climate justice, and public health advocacy.
This partnership marks a significant step in integrating environmental responsibility into academic and community initiatives, further strengthening LPU-B’s role as a leader in climate action.
