Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas (LPU-B) participated in the CHED FOUR A Conference: Fostering Outstanding and Unique Research Activities held on November 13, 2024, at the University of Perpetual Help Laguna – Biñan Campus. Organized by the Network of CALABARZON Educational Institutions, Inc. (NOCEI) in partnership with the CHED Regional Office IV, the conference brought together educators, researchers, and higher education stakeholders from the CALABARZON region. It provided a platform for sharing innovative research findings, exploring advancements in higher education, and fostering valuable partnerships.
As one of the active institutions in research within the region, LPU-B was invited to represent Dr. Annalie D. Pateña, Officer in Charge of the Center for Research and Innovation, who served as a panelist during the session Showcasing Best Practices on Internationalization and Innovation. Dr. Pateña shared LPU-B’s strategies for improving international rankings, emphasizing the university’s efforts to enhance its global recognition through innovative research, global partnerships, and a strong commitment to innovation and academic excellence.
The conference featured a diverse program of thought-provoking presentations and collaborative sessions, offering opportunities for meaningful discussions and shared insights. Dr. Pateña’s presentation showcased how LPU-B is advancing its global standing and contributing to the field of higher education.
Also in attendance were other LPU-B officials, including Dr. Cecilia C. Pring, Vice President for Academics and Research; Dr. Conrado I. Dotong, Assistant Vice President for Academics and Research; Dr. Merwina Lou Bautista, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education; and Dr. Jiexel Manongsong, Dean of the College of Business Administration. Their presence further strengthened the university’s leadership role in fostering academic excellence and internationalization in the CALABARZON region.
Overall, this participation highlights LPU-B’s ongoing efforts in enhancing global influence and solidifying its leadership in higher education. The insights shared and connections made will greatly contribute to the university’s continued growth and success internationally.
