World Scholar’s Cup Winners Get a “Lycean Homecoming Welcome”

LPU’s winning team in the World Scholar’s Cup 2019 Global Rounds Kielle Imrei A. Tria (Grade 11 STEM Eng), Yvette Frances E. Ortega (Grade 11 HUMSS) and Mark Joshua V. Noche (Grade 10) together with their coaches Mrs. Jamie Lee F. Mendoza (Asst. Principal), Mr. Dan Emerson V. Desiderio (HS Faculty Member) and Ms. Jasmin C. Villanueva (Faculty Member) were given a “Lycean homecoming welcome” yesterday at the LPU High School Riverside Campus. Members of the LPU family were present to personally congratulate them in a program held in honor of their achievements in the recently concluded competition. Respective parents of Kielle, Yvette and Francis were also present to witness the event.

The team bagged 23 gold medals, 8 silver medals, and 2 trophies throughout the different categories during the recently concluded World Scholar’s Cup 2019 Mini Global Rounds held at Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila. They are now qualifiers of the World Scholar’s Cup 2019 Tournament to be held at the Yale University, in Connecticut USA this coming November. #TakeTheLead #Lyceans
