The UNITED FEDERATION OF FIL-AM EDUCATORS, INC. (UNIFFIED) held their virtual 2021 UNIFFIED Awarding Ceremony during their International Virtual Summit yesterday July 16, 2021, in the US (July 17, 2021, in PH with the theme “Empowering Educators for the Challenges of the 21st Century. Among its awardees were Dr. Jake M. Laguador, Dr. Arnie Christian D. Villena, and Dr. Ma. Xenia Z. Bitera.
Dr. Laguador received the “Rising to the Challenge of Excellence in Education Award” which is given to the educators with Leadership positions and memberships in professional organizations, who introduced innovations to address problems in the academic community and served as resource speaker that contribute to the advancement of knowledge and skills of teachers. On the other hand, Dr. Villena and Dr. Bitera receive the “Outstanding Leadership in Education award” given to educators who served as excellent role models; inspired others to work collaboratively and creatively; initiated different school and community development projects, and conducted professional development to enhance the capacity of teachers in molding the students.
UNIFFIED is the largest nonprofit Filipino-American Educators Association, a multi-service 501(c3) organization based in the United States of America. Registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission in the Philippines, it is an organization founded in March 2014 which aims to provide educators professional growth opportunities, render charitable services to communities that promote the welfare of its citizens.
