LPU-Batangas’ Team Cognitics emerged victorious at the Microsoft AI for Accessibility Hackathon, winning for their application, Cognitics Coordinated Security, June 19.
The impressive team consisted of Bavie A. Bunyi Jr., Charlize Gian A. Belarmino, Elmar Johann E. Boniel, Leandre E. Basit, and Ravie Rafael E. Fetizanan, all students from the College of Computer Studies. Competing projects were evaluated by a panel of experts based on their technical complexity, creativity, and potential impact on people with disabilities.
The Microsoft AI for Accessibility Hackathon is an event that brings together developers, engineers and designers to create innovative solutions using Microsoft’s artificial intelligence tools. Its aim is to empower individuals with disabilities by developing new technologies that can assist them in their daily lives. This event provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the talents of the LPU-Batangas team and make a positive impact on the world.
