GROUND RULES BADMINTON MEN & WOMEN
The PISTAKASAN 2014 Badminton Men and Women will be covered and under the rules and regulation of International Badminton Federation (IBF).
The following are the in-house rules and regulations to be followed in ensuring the success of its objectives:
- Matches will be played in a double elimination round.
- Seeding will be applied in the tournament.
- Individual event will be used for the tournament. Single 1, Single 2, Doubles. All games will be played at LIMA gymnasium on Aug.27-28, 2014 and Aug. 29, incase all games are not finished on Aug. 28.
- Elimination rounds will be played two out of three sets of 15 points. In case of 1-1 tie decision set will be played to 15 points. Interval for each set 1 & 2 is 1 minute only. Decision set is 3 minutes only.
- Championship match will be played two out of three sets of 21 points. Incase of 1-1 tie decision set will be played to 21 points. Interval for each set 1 & 2 is 1 minute only. Decision set is 3 minutes only.
- Defaulting time is 5 minutes only.
- No player will be allowed to play without wearing his/her own Official uniform.
- The decision of the Umpire is Final.
- All players are required to be at the playing venue at 7:30am Sharp at LIMA gymnasium. All games will start at 8am.
- Deadline of submission of entry form is on or before august 19, 2014.
- Players should be in the venue at all time. Games will start after the on August 27, 2014.

BOWLING GROUND RULES
- Line up of the players must be submitted on or before August 18, 2014.
- Each game is consisting of two women for women’s division and two men for men’s division. Player A will play for frame 1-5 and Player B will continue frame 6-10. The team with most number of pin falls wins the game.
- Double elimination system of tournament will be follow.
- All players must wear rubber shoes and their uniforms. Players wearing sandals or slippers are not allowed to play.
- Drawing of lot shall be made prior to the start of the competition. Lane assignments shall be based on a duly prepared game schedule to be furnished to the participants.
- Warm up shall be limited to three balls only.
- A gutter ball is not counted as pin fall/s even if such ball bounces back into the lane and hit a standing pin/s.
- The team coaches are enjoined to discipline their players for unruly comments, loud enough to distract a player who is about to roll the ball or any offensive language for that matter.
Cheering is allowed in a sportsmanlike-manner and should be made after a player has already rolled the ball.
GROUND RULES TABLE TENNIS
The PISTAKASAN 2014 Table Tennis Men/Women will be covered and under the rules of and regulation of ITTF.
The following are the in-house rules and regulations to the following ensuring the success of its objectives.
- Line up of the players must be submitted on or before August 19, 2014.
- The player should be officially enrolled this 1st semester 2014-2015.
- Matches will be played in double elimination.
- Event to the player are (Single 1, Single 2 and Doubles for Men’s/ Women’s division). In Single 1 and Single 2 is composed of 1 player each, while in doubles is 2 player. Player will not be allowed to play twice in the said events.
- Elimination and championship will be played in best of 3 sets.
- If a played refuses to play after being summoned to do so, it is declared in default and forfeits the match will the result of 0-3 for the elimination and championship round for the match and 0-11 for each set. Defaulting time is 10 minutes.
- No player will be allowed to play without wearing his own official uniform. Players wearing sandals or slippers are not allowed to play.
- Any player who is under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol will not allow playing.
- The decision of the umpire is final.
- The team coaches are enjoined to discipline their players for unruly comments, loud enough to distract a player who is about to roll the ball or any offensive language for that matter.
- Cheering is allowed in a sportsmanlike-manner and should be made after a player has already rolled the ball.
Match will start at 7:30 AM at the front of Registrar area.
General Rules and Regulations
CHESS TOURNAMENT
- The tournament is open for both men and women. There will be a men’s division and
women’s division.
- Each team is composed of at least 3 players. A fourth player can be included in the line-up and designated as alternate.
- Each team is required to designate a player for board 1, 2, and 3. A player will play in the designated board assigned to them throughout the tournament.
- Each team will play against all the other teams in a single round robin system of tournament.
- Points accumulated after each round will be summed – up to determine the champions and runner – up.
- An individual completion is played simultaneously with the team competition. A game played by a player will be credited both to his individual standing and his team’s standing.
- Individual award will be given for the best player in each board.
- A game will be played at the maximum of 30 minutes. It means that each player is given 15 minutes to complete his game. This new rule is adapted because there are now 10 clusters participating in the Pistakasan, hence, more number of games will be played that requires more hours to finish the tournament.
- The committee is expecting for the final line – up to be submitted not later than
August 19, 2014.
10. Dept. Shirt will be allowed to use in playing the game.
GROUND RULES
VOLLEYBALL MEN & WOMEN
The PISTAKASAN 2014 Volleyball Men & Women will be covered and under the rules and regulations of the FIVB.
The following are the IN-HOUSE RULES AND REGULATIONS to be followed in ensuring the success of its objectives:
- Matches will be played in a double elimination round.
- Seeding will be applied in the tournament.
- Rule on immediate succession will be applied in case of defaults. Participants must always be ready and available to play as long as the ground/court is available.
- Match 1 will follow after the opening ceremony.
- The next day matches will start at exactly 7:00 a.m.
- Maximum of 3 matches per team for each day.
- If a team refuses to play after being summoned to do so, it is declared in default and forfeits the match with result of 0-3 for the match ( elimination round ) and 0-25 for each set.
Defaulting time is 15 minutes.
- Elimination round will be played in a best of 3 sets. In case of 1-1 tie, decision set will be played to 25 points. Last possible match included in the double elimination round will also be played in a best of 3 sets. Championship match (playoff) will be played in a best of 5 sets.
- Only the players and team officials are allowed to sit on the bench.
- Each team can field in a maximum of 15 players in a match, but still only 6 player substitutions is allowed per set.
- No player will be allowed to play without wearing his own official uniform.
- No athlete, coach shall be allowed to participate if he/she; under the collective opinion of game officials, he has been found to have taken intoxicating liquids, drugs, substances, etc.
- Smoking in the playing area is strictly prohibited.
- The decision of the referee is final.
- Only the team captain is allowed to clarify with the referees on certain calls or decisions.
- Teams are not allowed to use the official ball during warm-up.
Team are requested to bring their own ball pen.
DART Guidelines
- QUALIFICATIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
- Only enrolled students of LPU are allowed to join this competition and not a member of LPU varsity team.
- Only department shirt and pants are allowed to wear during the tournament.
- MODE OF PLAY
- The tournament shall be individual game, double knockout or winners and losers bracket.
- Event: KILLERS
- Matches from elimination to quarter finals shall be 20 to 15 only. While semi-final to final shall be 20 to12.
- Only one (1) third place shall be awarded. Losing players in the semi-finals shall compete with each other for the third place.
- SCORING SYSTEM
Big slice : single
Outer ring : double
Inner ring : triple
Bull’s eye (outer) : single / 25 points
Bull’s eye (inner) : double / 50 points
