Promoting the Employability and Entrepreneurship of Higher Education Graduates through Innovative Ways in the Philippines or PATHWAY Project is a microcosm of the Higher Education system of the Philippines and is composed of Lyceum of the Philippines University- Batangas, Ateneo de Manila University, St. Paul University Philippines, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Benguet State University, and the European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines.
This project is under the Erasmus+ led by the University of Alicante in Spain together with the University of Montpellier in France and will run for 3 years. The first training focused on “Systems to Support Employability and Entrepreneurship”, its first Training Mission was held at the University of Alicante in Spain, from March 21-25, 2022.
To continue the train-the-trainers program, the University of Montpellier in France hosted the Training Mission 2, held May 16-20,2022. This training focused on the theme “Inspiring and Supporting Entrepreneurship” with 5 different topics including Developing the Entrepreneurial Path, Social Entrepreneurship, Providing Entrepreneurial Education, Relationship with the Entrepreneurial World, and Promoting Student Entrepreneurship.
Highlights of the Training Mission 2 were the workshop and brainstorming sessions facilitated by Mr. Emmanuel Houze of University of Montpellier focusing on skills needed to go from being a simple student to an entrepreneur (Curricular reform, Skills set) and the presentation of the Director of CHED’s Office of Programs and Standards Development, with the topic, Priorities of CHED for Entrepreneurship Education and the development of an Entrepreneurial Culture.
For ToT2, LPU-Batangas was represented by Dr. Cecilia C. Pring, Dr. Maribeth G. Buenviaje, Dr. Sergel I. Dacut, Dr. Ma. Xenia Z. Bitera, and Dr. Rey Fernan G. Refozar.
