Jacob Nahial a Grade 12 STEM Engineering student of the LPU Batangas High School was among the recipients of the 2021 CALABARZON Youth Excellence in Science (YES) Award given by the Department of Science and Technology. Nahial recently received his medal from DOST CALABARZON Regional Director Emelita P. Bagsit at the DOST Regional Office in Laguna. Also present during the awarding were Dr. Vivian Perez (LPU HS Principal), Ms. Jamie Lee Mendoza (Asst. Principal) and Ms. Alona Panaligan (Area Chair for Math and Sciences), and Mr. Nahial’s parents.
The YES Awards is a recognition system for young achievers in the international science and mathematics competitions institutionalized by the DOST-SEI. The previous awardee from LPU Batangas High School is alumnus Kielle Imrei Tria in 2017.
