MARINA releases list of Recognized Maritime HEIs

The Maritime Industry Authority or MARINA, the sole government agency of the Republic of the Philippines created to integrate the development, promotion and regulation of the maritime industry released the list of recognized Maritime Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), February 23, 2015.

Included on the list is LPU Batangas’ Lyceum International Maritime Academy which is recognized to offer the Merchant Marine Deck Officer Program or Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) and Merchant Marine Engineer Officer Program or Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering (BSMarE) for SY 2015-2016. MARINA has recognized only 3 Maritime HEIs offering BSMT and 4 HEIs offering BSMarE in Region IV-A. The Lyceum International Maritime Academy is a leading provider of maritime professionals in the region and is equipped with state-of-the art facilities and simulators for word class maritime education and training.
