Lycean Nursing Students Undergo Edu-Cultural Immersion in Daegu, South Korea
Senior and Junior Nursing Students namely: Aaron Daniel Balina, Ma. Catherine Driz, Anatalio Cristina, Shane Bero, Kriselle Cuasay, Heindrex Espeleta, Samantha Gamab, Pinela Morales, Mark Clent Saladar and Flori Villaruel together with their Clinical Instructor Mr. Mario Marasigan flew to Daegu, South Korea for a 7-day Edu-Cultural Immersion at the Daegu Health College.
As part of the international mobility program and a first for the College of Nursing, this activity promotes awareness among the student participants with regards to international cooperation and cultural diversity towards developing globally competitive professionals in the future. It broadens their knowledge and perception and enables them to acquire skills in their fields through the internship, furthermore, it aims to create a deeper appreciation of the Korean/Filipino culture, its people, and nation toward. More so it enables both students from the Philippines and Korea to share expertise in identified fields of specializations, particularly in Nursing.
