LPU Joins the Nation in Prayer

The LPU community gathered at the Arsenio Dodjie Laurel gymnasium as it joined the nation in the inter-faith prayer broadcast live from the Malacañang Palace, January 20, 2014.

Dr. Patricia Licuanan- CHEd Commisioner, urged Higher Education Institutions like LPU  to join His Excellency, President Benigno Aquino III  together with Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle of the Catholic Church, Police Superintendent Imam Ebra Moxsir of the Imam Council of the Philippines, Commissioner Zenaida Pawid of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, Isaias Samson of Iglesia ni Cristo and Bishop Jonel Milan of the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches in this declared national day of prayer aptly dubbed as “One Nation in Prayer”  for the thousands of lives lost in tragedies in 2013 like the Zamboanga siege, 7.8 Magnitude earthquake that struck Bohol and other provinces and Super Typhoon Yolanda which swiped coastal towns of Tacloban and Ormoc.
