LPU Holds First International Cultural Week with Hunan University

The first international cultural week between China and the Philippines, and particularly between Hunan University of Science and Engineering (HUSE) and Lyceum of the Philippines University, Batangas (LPU-B) was celebrated last March 19, 2018, at the HUSE campus in Yongzhou province in China. LPU, together with its officials including Dr. James Liaoyong, Dr. Esmenia R. Javier, Dr. Norma Meñez, Dr. Conrado Dotong, Engr. Ricky Bustamante, together with eighteen (18) students from LPU Batangas and LPU Laguna campuses joined this cultural exchange.  Our Lyceans presented Filipino cultural numbers including the Batangueño Folkdance “Subli”.  The Chinese students, on the other hand, prepared various performances that mesmerized the audience.  It was a heartwarming experience since this cultural show demonstrated not only the cooperation and teamwork between the Filipino and the Chinese students but importantly, this cemented the friendship between the two Asian countries.  This form of collaboration is a good example to the ASEAN countries and to the world, that we as peoples of the earth should remain, friends recognizing our cultures and diversities with trust and respect.   #TakingTheLead #ChooseLPUBatangas #LPUGoesInternational
