Lyceum of the Philippines University Batangas (LPU–Batangas) recognized its esteemed industry partners in an awarding ceremony at the Industry-Academe Partnership Recognition 2024, held on March 13th, at the Freedom Hall.
These partners, representing both government and private institutions, play a crucial role in providing internship opportunities, establishing invaluable academe-industry linkages for curriculum development and placement, and offering scholarship opportunities. Such collaborations are instrumental in fulfilling LPU Batangas’ commitment to providing world-class education and service to its students.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Ms. Helen Grace G. Baisa, Vice President of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines and CEO of Charmant Ingredients Corporation, who delivered an inspiring keynote address.

She highlighted the need for enhancing the curriculum in the basic education system, increasing labor productivity through improved workplace schemes, facilitating enhanced training programs for teachers, and strengthening skills development and vocational programs in the Philippines.
Ms. Baisa also stressed that aligning education with industry needs and fostering collaboration are essential steps toward building a resilient, skilled, and innovative workforce.
This event resonates with LPU Batangas’ 57th Foundation Anniversary theme, which revolves around advancing innovation and fostering strong partnerships, as well as with Sustainable Development Goal 17, which emphasizes the significance of partnerships for achieving goals. It underscores the university’s unwavering commitment to forging meaningful collaborations with industry partners to drive innovation, enhance educational quality, and contribute to national development.
