Last November 2-3, 2022, Dr. Maribeth G. Buenviaje, LPU-B’s Executive Director for Strategic Communications, Linkages & International Affairs, joined the Philippine delegation in the 16th Annual Review Meeting of the Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) in Seoul, South Korea. The Philippine delegation was led by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
AIM’s Annual Review Meeting provides a crucial platform for AIMS government and university representatives, students, and alumni to share perspectives to enhance the regional mobility program for AIMS. Highlights of the event included the sharing of updates on the development of the program, and discussions and collaboration to match the needs of the learners and support the progress of common space of higher education for the sustainable development of the region.
The said meeting was hosted by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea, Korean Council for University Education, and co-hosted by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Regional Center-specializing in higher education and development.
AIMS delegation also got the chance to visit Yonsei University-Mirae Campus, and to learn from the sharing of their activities, accomplishments on international development cooperation, and social & voluntary services in relation to University Social Responsibility (USR).
LPU-B, together with CHED, will be hosting the 17th AIMS Annual Review meeting, next year, in November 2023.
