The Master of Arts in Psychology (MA PSYCH) is a graduate program that aims to provide graduate students highlevel training and intends to prepare them to practice in the areas of teaching, research, and professional practice in psychology in the aspect of assessment and diagnosis, counseling, group influence, and psychological research.

THREE (3) TO FIVE (5) YEARS AFTER GRADUATION, MASTER OF ARTS IN PSYCHOLOGY SHALL:

  • Have become professional psychologists in the educational, industrial, and clinical settings.
  • Have achieved managerial and supervisory positions in the practice of the profession.
  • Introduce innovation in the field of psychology in clinical, educational and industrial or organizational areas.

BY THE TIME OF GRADUATION, MASTER OF ARTS IN PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS SHALL HAVE THE ABILITY TO:

  • Discuss concepts, theoretical perspective and research findings in psychology.
  • Conduct research in the field of psychology.
  • Demonstrate critical and creative thinking in solving problems related to psychology and mental process.
  • Apply psychological principles in their personal and social development that will enhance their professional growth and well-being.
  • Utilize information technology in the administration, scoring and interpretation of psychological tests and writing psychological evaluation reports.
  • Respect the complexity of cultural diversity in recognition of professional, social, and ethical responsibility.
  • Demonstrate (engage) lifelong learning skills to keep abreast of the developments in their specific field of practice.
