THREE (3) TO FIVE (5) YEARS AFTER GRADUATION, ALUMNI OF PHD IN PSYCHOLOGY SHALL:

  • Establish psychological services for assessment, counseling, intervention, and evaluation/ become managers and supervisors in the practice of the profession in educational, industrial and clinical areas.
  • Develop psychological theories and concepts that will contribute to optimal human functioning and the discipline.
  • Introduce innovation in the field of psychology in clinical, educational and industrial or organizational areas.

BY THE TIME OF GRADUATION, PHD IN PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS SHALL HAVE THE ABILITY TO:

  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Conduct clinical assessment by applying psychometric theories and principles.
  • Establish collaborative partnerships with clients and peers.
  • Formulate a coherent, theoretically based and empirically supported treatment plan.
  • Practice the professional, ethical and legal responsibilities in the delivery of psychological services.
  • Demonstrate lifelong learning skills to keep abreast of the developments in their specific field of practice.
