The complete program curriculum for Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology
Three to five years after graduation, alumni of PhD in Psychology shall:
- be professional psychologists who can establish, develop, provide, supervise and manage psychological services for assessment and counseling;
- be highly skilled professional psychologists who are sensitive to the issues on psychological and health-related concerns confronting communities globally and internationally, and
- be inclined in the development of psychological theories and concepts to interpret and evaluate modern trends of the field.
By the time of graduation, Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology students shall have the ability to:
- develop competency in clinical assessment as evidenced by knowledge of both psychometric theory and sound test administration and interpretation skills;
- form productive partnerships of clients, peers, supervisors, faculty, and community members;
- form a coherent, theoretically based, empirically supported treatment plan that is refined during the course of intervention.
