Erasmus+ project PATHWAY launches in the Philippines, Involves 5 PH HEIs
A 2-hour virtual launch of PATHWAY a project which aims to enhance the entrepreneurship and employability culture of universities in the Philippines to meet labour market needs and support government reforms was held on February 23, 2021, which was part of the 3-day international Kick-off Meeting. This project is coordinated by the University of Alicante in Spain and involves five (5) Higher Education Institutions from the Philippines namely Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas, Ateneo De Manila University, Benguet State University, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, and St. Paul University as well as CHED, ECCP, Enactus Philippines, and the University of Montpellier in France. The launch brought awareness about the project on a national level on the project and the importance of supporting employability and entrepreneurship by universities in the Philippines. Moreover, PATHWAY will consolidate entrepreneurship and employment structures in the partner universities by fostering and boosting university-enterprise synergies and accompany CHED’s reforms on building an entrepreneurship culture at a national level. PATHWAY will run from January 15th, 2021, to January 14th, 2024. PATHWAY is co-financed by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ programme.
