It gives me great pleasure and honor to share my experience as one of shall I humbly say successful alumni of LPU. Through hard work, dedication, and perseverance and owing to my Alma Mater who have molded me into who I am today.
Through God’s grace and guidance for 30 years of being a seafarer, I was able to provide for my family’s needs and wants as well, bought different properties and investments and I can proudly say that I have helped a lot of people, may it be financial support or inspiration especially my nephews to pursue their dreams of one day becoming a seafarer. Being away from my family and missing some important life celebrations while on board were obviously the unlikeable part of our job, the uncertainties like the sudden change of weather and crew with different nationalities and personalities you have to work with and the unimaginable loneliness of isolation for months. I am so sure my wife, kids, and my late mother had uttered millions of prayers for me. There may be lots of obstacles and challenges along the way, but with a brave and determined heart, you can succeed in whatever goal you have in mind. LPU instilled so much value in me as I walk my journey to becoming a Chief Engineer. This institution never failed our industry in handing out the best unsung heroes of the sea. #ButiNaLangNagLyceumAko
