A team composed of BS Computer Engineering alumni namely Aerielle Jenine H. Armedilla, Lavina C. Enriquez, Jayvee F. Molina, and Mark Anthony M. Hernandez with the guidance of Engr. Evelyn De Castro was hailed as the FIRST PRIZE winner in the 2021 Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits (RICE) in Region IV-A (CALABARZON). They were given the SIBOL Award for Outstanding College Student Creative Research for their video presentation on “UAV Imaging Applications for Concrete Crack Detection with Repair Recommendation”, today September 29, 2021 in a virtual awarding ceremony.
The winning team from LPU Batangas will move on to the National Finals. RICE is spearheaded by the Department of Science and Technology-Technology Application and Promotion Institute.
