The Bachelor of Arts in Communication program aims to produce graduates who have mastery of a range of communication industry skills, supported by extensive, contextual studies in communication/media theory, and professional skills in preferred areas of journalism, broadcast, advertising, public relations, media production (radio, television, and film), organization and business communication, creative and the performing arts. It also seeks to develop critical, articulate students by offering a wide range of subjects that meet the industry demand and increase the employability of graduates.

LEVEL OUTCOMES

Graduates of Bachelor of Arts in Communication program shall have:

  • Gainfully employed locally and globally in the field of communication and media utilizing relevant skills expected of Liberal Arts professionals.
  • Participated in the conduct of relevant research and or special projects in communication that will contribute to the development of their chosen field in local, national, and global work.
  • Engaged in self-directed life-long learning through professional growth and development.
  • Actualized the knowledge acquired into social responsibility through community involvement.

At the end of the program, the students shall have the ability to:

  • Apply knowledge of physical, social, natural, and health sciences and humanities in the practice of the profession.
  • Communicate effectively through various media forms and situations.
  • Design, produce, and evaluate print, broadcast, audio-visual, electronic, and multimedia outputs.
  • Engage in research and/or special projects and utilize results for professional and socio-economic development.
  • Manifest preparedness and competence for local and global employment and entrepreneurship.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and practices.
  • Demonstrate responsible citizenship and pride of being a Filipino.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Engaged in life-long learning activities.
