Buted to represent Region IV-A in Skills Competition
Karlos Emmanuel A. Buted, a freshman student of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CITHM) won Gold and was proclaimed Regional Champion in the Restaurant Service category in the Skills Competition sponsored by TESDA. Another student from the CITHM, Andre Gabriel E. Bisa also won Silver in the Cookery Category. Buted was coached by his father Dr. Dexter R. Buted the VP for Public and External Affairs and former Dean of CITHM who is coincidentally an international winner in various skills competition together with two faculty members of CITHM, Mr. Leoncio Barlan Jr. and Mr. Janzell Palbacal who are also multi-awarded coaches. Bisa on the other hand was coached by Chef Aries Cueto also a multi-awarded coach.
Karlos Buted will represent Region IV-A in the Philippine Skills Competition also in the same category this January 2014.
