My life now is really what I have been dreaming of. I am fulfilled in my chosen career now as an acting Chief Mate on Board with Master Mariner License and currently employed with THOME SHIP MANAGEMENT (TSM), one of the Best Manning Agencies.
While I was in freshman year, I cannot forget the challenging words from one of my professors. He informed us that the enrolled students in Maritime at Lyceum International Maritime Academy (LIMA) filled up sections from Alpha to November (names of sections are according to the NATO phonetic alphabet). At that time maritime enrollment was booming and one for the books.
But as we came near graduation, each batch of students decreased in number due to different factors such as struggles in life and financial challenges. They were not able to continue with their studies. At that moment, I promised myself that I would be one of the students who will finish the journey with that career and that I will succeed in life.
For me, self-motivation and determination is my key to success.
