Strengthening its commitment to advancing public service through quality education, Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas (LPU-B) officially renewed its Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) on February 27, 2026.
This enduring partnership opens specialized pathways to higher education for PCL members, empowering local legislators with the academic rigor, strategic insight, and leadership competence essential for effective governance. Under the renewed agreement, qualified members may pursue graduate studies through LPU-B’s Master in Public Administration and Doctor in Public Administration programs.
The collaboration also maximizes the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP), enabling eligible councilors to convert their extensive professional experience and public service achievements into earned academic credits toward a college degree.
Anchored in its mission as a Cradle of Leaders, LPU-B continues to bridge professional excellence and academic distinction. As more public servants begin their journey as Lyceans, the strengthened alliance between LPU-B and PCL further elevates the standard of institutional partnerships in the region.
The MOA signing ceremony was attended by LPU-B Senior Vice President, Mr. Frederick C. Badillo; Vice President for Academics and Research, Dr. Cecillia C. Pring; and Graduate School Dean, Dr. Conrado I. Dotong. Representing the PCL were Board Member and President, Hon. Kathleen Briones-Queyquep; and PCL Board of Directors, Dr. Rommel B. Basilan of LGU Bauan and Mr. Robenson Sale of LGU Calaca City.
