The Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas (LPU-B) successfully conducted a series of replication workshops on May 21 and May 23, 2024, as a follow-through activity to the Training of Trainers 3 (ToT3) under the ECOViP project held at Can Tho University.
The first session took place on May 21 at Le Cafe, SHL Building, followed by a second session on May 23 at SLRC, SHL Building. The workshops gathered faculty members from the College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (CITHM), College of Allied Medical Professions (CAMP), and College of Computing Arts and Sciences (CCAS).
The sessions were facilitated by the university’s ToT3 representatives—Dr. Hazel Venus, Dr. Melody Dimaano, and Ms. Roxanne Aguba—who shared key insights, learnings, and best practices gained during their participation in the international training in Vietnam.
The replication workshops focused on echoing the core themes of the ToT3, including innovative teaching methodologies, curriculum enhancement, and the integration of sustainable-oriented entrepreneurship in tourism education. The facilitators also led discussions on how these approaches can be contextualized and applied within LPU-B to strengthen academic delivery and student outcomes.
Faculty participants actively engaged in the sessions, contributing ideas and reflections on how to incorporate the shared strategies into their respective programs. The workshops also fostered interdisciplinary collaboration among the colleges, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to continuous improvement and global academic alignment.
Through these replication activities, LPU-B ensures that the knowledge and experiences gained from international engagements are effectively cascaded to the wider academic community, supporting the advancement of innovative and sustainable education practices.
