Lyceans continue to make their mark in the tech industry with the latest accomplishments of BS Information Technology alumna, Kristine Martinez, and TEAM Kindred of Whimsical and Algorithmic Neoterics (K.W.A.N.), proving once again that innovation and excellence are the hallmarks of the Lycean spirit.
Kristine Martinez, a dedicated and hardworking graduate of the BS Information Technology program, achieved a significant milestone as she passed the prestigious Computer Programming Proficiency Certification Examination on May 24, 2024, at the Digital Transformation Center CALABARZON, DICT Compound, in Batangas City. This accomplishment is a testament to her strong technical skills and determination to excel in the ever-evolving IT landscape. The award was presented by Mr. Felix S. Tabanao, Jr., Regional Director of DICT Region IV-A (CALABARZON), who commended Kristine for her outstanding achievement in the field.
In addition, TEAM K.W.A.N., a group of talented Lyceans, also excelled during the Philippine Startup Challenge 9 (PSC9) – Regional Pitching Competition (CALABARZON). The team was awarded the Best Startup Logo for their innovative design, which was a key element of their startup proposal. The members of TEAM K.W.A.N. included Bavie A. Bunyi Jr. (3rd Year, BS Computer Science), Charls Wayne A. Felipe (1st Year, BS Information Technology), and Elmar John E. Boniel (3rd Year, BS Information Technology). Their logo stood out in the competition, showcasing their creative and entrepreneurial prowess.
These achievements highlight the exceptional talent and drive of the Lycean community, where students and alumni alike continue to excel in the fields of technology, entrepreneurship, and beyond.
