Another significant partnership has been secured by LPU-Batangas as we officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Capilano University from Canada, in pursuing relevant academic goals. A ceremonial MOU signing was held today, February 16, 2023, at the Freedom Hall of LPU-Batangas Main Campus.
The said partnership will open opportunities for the institution in providing world-class quality education, especially for its Business Administration and International Tourism and Hospitality Management programs. Moreover, it will focus on implementing joint research projects, distinct knowledge generation, and facilitating intercultural learning capacities.
Meanwhile, Mr. Frederick C. Badillo, Senior Vice President & VP for Finance of LPU-Batangas, expressed his excitement in forging this partnership as this will greatly contribute to fostering the holistic development of every lycean. The same gratitude was mirrored by Professor Paul Dangerfield, University President & Vice-Chancellor of Capilano University, and Dr. Cecilia C. Pring Vice President for Academics & Research of LPU-Batangas.
Also present at the said ceremony were Mr. Paolo Sotero S. Laurel, VP for Institutional Affairs, Dr. Conrado I. Dotong, AVP for Academics and Research, Mrs. Geraldine De Erit, University Registrar and Head of Student Services, Dr. Maribeth G. Buenviaje, Executive Director, Strategic Communications, Linkages, and International Affairs, Deans and Department Chairs of the Business, Tourism and Hospitality Management Programs, Department Heads, and students. On the other hand, Professor Dangerfield was joined by Dr. Chris Bottrill, Vice President, International, and Ms. Catherine Dangerfield, Region Head TD, Private Wealth Management, Pacific of Capilano University.
