People around me thought that I didn’t take studies seriously especially during college. Honestly, those were not easy-peasy days for me. I was one of those who struggled and exerted efforts just to maintain good grades. It’s just that it was not obvious because I enjoyed the program that I was taking that time. My gratitude goes to LPU-Batangas because it offered me the exact course I ought to take and make me the best that I can be which also brought me to where I am today.
We also considered LPU-B since it is a pioneer school in Nursing and has established a good reputation in honing students aspiring to become a nurse. So why still go to Manila when my birth city offers the same academic excellence and quality education?

The journey I took was not the same as the path of an ordinary Medical Laboratory Science student. I have learned to juggle and toss the academic and the “outside the four corners” requirements. Looking back on how I progressed, I always saw myself armed with coffee and energy drinks just to keep me awake for the exams and laboratory manuals due. I was always ready for more challenges as my competitive streak kept me on my toes.

It wasn’t an easy pill to swallow and had hindered me from trying anything new in fear of failing again, but if there’s anything my alma mater taught me, it was to not be afraid of failure. To count every misstep as an opportunity to learn from my mistakes and grow. With every downfall, I had gained a lesson that could have not been taught had I not experienced failure first-hand.
